Migration from nice perform 3.1 to 3.5

Hello People

I am scheduling several migrations from nice perform 3.1 (since its reaching out of support date soon) to the --newest-- platform 3.5

my hardware check give positive because the 3.1 is installed on machines with quad-core processors

As far I have checked the procedure is not a mistery, anyway I got some issues I would like to comment.

the partitions required for 3.5 are larger than 3.1, so I would need to repartition, and this is on win 2003... some hint?

the Operating systems approved for 3.5 start from 2003 server R2 (std/ent) and 3.1 was on --R1-- can this upgrade be done?

is there a best practice for doing it? for example make a clean install of the operating system (and indeed a clean install of everything!)

You need to make shure you have the nice_ca database installed on 3.1. before you start.

I would uppgrade windows 2003 to sp2 and install the latest windows uppdates. I belive this is basicly the same as windows2003 R2.

The uppgrade works well with out a clean install.

Hello Again

I found this guides to aid the migration

Anyway I started the process, since most of harwdware is compatible with 3.2 (and even 3.5) and got a lot of errors in upgrading the DB
from 3.1 to 3.2.

summing my still little experience with nice, i dare to say that all the nice intelligence and history resides on the DB, and I would never touch it, in the upgrade / migration the critical step would be that.

I will show you the log I got, boring as any log but may be someone will be interested.
