Followed the other threads on this issue but wondered if anyone else could give me some advice?

I ran a trial and migrated a few test mail boxes and replicated the public folders and everything went fine.

But, here is my problem...

I have our last machine running NT4 and it is our mailserver EX 5.5
I have a new machine running Win2k3 which, I have installed the new EX 2k3 run the wizard and prepared the AD, moved a few mailboxes.. still all OK,
Replicated the Public Folders and on the machines using the new EX 2k3 all is ok but on the other users accessing the Public folders through EX 5.5!!! The permissions seem to be all over the place and some folders you can see others you can't.
Does anyone know if I've missed something out?
Or how I get it all back?

I have read through MS KB and know that the migration does not copy across permissions to public folders etc but I was expecting it to leave the EX 5.5 working properly until the time everything was migrated and I could decommission the old system.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

We just upgraded a few months ago and seemed to have a similar problem with some public folders not showing up. Check the security permissions on the folders that are not showing up and ensure that there are no disabled users or orphaned SID's. If there are remove them and then the folder should show up. It worked for us

Thanks for the reply, I worked it back to the security rights, was a bit confussed why it didn't happen on the test machine but it is all up and running now.

Thanks again
