Can someone advise me when I must upgrade a Nt 4 server to service pack 4 before upgrading or migrating to Win2000?Microsoft's Migrating text book is unclear to me. I interpret it to say I must apply SP4 if I am migrating a PDC but I do not find the requirement when reading about doing an upgrade. All help appreciated!

You will need SP4 or greater.
I believe this is because SP4+ had support for (and upgraded your file system to) NTFSv5. There may well be other reasons as well.![[auto]](/data/assets/smilies/auto.gif "[auto] [auto]")
