Migrating IP500 from mu-Law to A-Law 1

We need to migrate an IP500 to A-Law for a customer that wants to re-deploy it in Mexico.

Of course we need an A-Law smart card. Another other advice on making this transition?

The IP Office will automaticly change from uLaw to Alaw when changing the smart card.

So if the 2 LED's on the back Flash red when the A-LAW card is installed can we assume that the Smart card is defective?

Has there been an issue with A-Law smart cards?

Is there still a config in the system ?

Try to hold the reset button to empty the system and try again.

It turns out we received several bad A-LAW smart cards. We finally got a good one and the system came right up.

Great! Only sad that the bad smart cards were distributed as the distri should know which cards are suspicious and not to be sold but returned to Avaya.
