This may not be the answer you are looking for - but the best advice I can give is ...do you really want to do this ? I have worked at a site where the priority was to 'migrate' from SqlBase v7 to SqlServer v8. There was no apparent technical reason to do so , other than SQL Server was a Microsoft product and so must have a better 'image'. After many heartrendering hours we did the conversion manually , and the end result was - please convert back to Sqlbase - its much better in terms of all things technical. Just because something is Microsoft does not mean its better. I ended up being the scapegoat for 'downgrading' the system from SqlBase to Sqlserver. Dont do it !!
