I know this may raise a few eyebrows but I am hoping that you can all help me with this issue.
I am in the fortunate/unfortunate position (depending on how you see things), of having to scrap Netware 5.1 for Windows Server 2000. This is down to 'company policy' and is out of my control. I've known for a while that this was going to happen, and finally it is.
Please can you help me with the following questions:
1) Has anybody migrated from Netware 5.1 to Windows Server 2000 and if so what was involved and what aspects were difficult etc?
2) What changes will need to made on the workstations?
3) Are there any known issues regarding the tools that Microsoft have made for migrating from Netware to Win 2000?
4) Is it possible and is it wise to have both servers operational on the same network (for migration purposes)?
5) What is the best method for migrating to Win 2000? (I have a basic Netware
Server set-up).
Thanks for your help.
let's help one another, not hinder.
