Migrating exchange 2000 to new server 2

Has anyone had any luck migrating exchange 2000 to a new server? The problem I have is that whoever set up this network originally set Exchange up on the DC. I would like to move it to another server. Is that possible? We have about 60 users and 4 public folders.

I can't change the name of the DC so this would have to be on a new server with a different server name.

I moved our exchange server over to a new server about 6 months ago with this method and didnt have any problems.

your best bet will be to add a 2nd exchange server to the organization on the new hardware.... then move all of the mailboxes and public folders over..... then remove exchange from the DC.
