On the web interface of CM in version 6 under the server role section. I see a number for MID. this looks like it matches what my network region number is for this LSP. on the network config section under Server ID I see another number. Do these have to match. What is the relevance of each? I'm having issues with file sync from the main and all the addresses are correct for the call servers. So, I'm wondering if those fields are not correct for some reason.

The old SID/MID was for cm5 and earlier and licensing was installed separately on each server
licensing and authentication comes from Avaya RFA.

Using WebLM / System Platform etc. changed licensing to new scheme.
SID/MID are always 1 - licensing and authenticaion for all, uses WebLM and Avaya PLDS.

I have a main site that is 1. Each of the LSP's use the main's SID, but have unique MID's. then on the ethernet tab there's a field called Server ID. In most cases on each of the LSP's, this number matches the LSP MID, but not all.

Main SID 1 MID 1 The LSP MID's will not be "1"

They will match your programming on Cluster ID/MID for each survivable-processor when you add them in
the Main CM SAT.

In each LSP "statuslicense -v" will give you SID 1 and MID x
you can map the LSP's back to the survivable-processors

So is there any consistency between which LSP's are sync'd versus the ones that aren't? My MID's don't follow any discernable pattern they are however all unique. If you have any LSP's that do not have an SID or have a duplicated MID maybe that is where the issue is.

If by ethernet tab you are referring to the Network Configuration page my SID is 1 as I don't believe this has much to do with translation sync.

All I know is we had a couple of LSP's that still had a Default MID of 1 and no SID when the system was installed and once we changed these so that the SID was consistent with the main site and the MID was unique, translations began to sync.
