Mics t1 backup question

Can I backup my mics t1 software system programming and then upload it to a mics 7.1 new system?

No, you cant restore to another software version.
You should backup in case of upgrade fail.

How however since your way out of date its best you re-pogrom from scratch then you have a nice new clean system.
