MICS 4.1 lost power and memory was wiped out!
-Can't seem to change the line 049 to DID. It is set to loop and no option to change.
-DID card is in module 8
-after module 8 reboot, in maint mode it says 1 card 4 lines available, and then after a minute it says module is empty.
-when you call a DID you get dead air.
-changed DID card, and still no luck.
Can somebody list all the configs to set the system up for copper DIDs? I feel like I'm am missing something that is preventing the system from recognizing the did card.
Shouldn't the system automatically set the trunk type to DID once it sees the card?

no it doesnt - disable card, change card type, enable
if still not recognizing
bad card or bad slot in tm, bad tm, bad port in the exp card

Like senk1 said change card type under hardware

Thanks senk1s and hawks. Under hardware it was!

Still having trouble with this system. Think it may have been damaged when it lost its memory. Maybe a power spike. Systems don't just lose their memory! Anyone have a similar experience with the memory getting blown out?

Another thing to consider is that some Central Offices will automatically take a DID trunk out of service if it winks and doesn't get a reply. Easy troubleshooting test is to disconnect DID from CO - hook your butt set on the NORSTAR side - go off hook and immediately dial appropriate digits (pick some DID digits that are already configured on the system via DTMF or pulse - depending on how your trunks are provisioned) - it should ring thru to the appropriate station. If it rings thru, the trouble is in the CO. Good luck.
