We have a MIcs that we took over- seems we needed at one point to replace the line card running lines 1-4 they went dead and the card was bad. We went in again about 1 month later and line 2-4 were dead we rebooted system and they came back. Because they were getting some type of surge on the lines we put in line protectors also. Now every 2 months or so they loose lines 1-4 and we have to power up and down and they come back. I have recommended the client replaces the KSU because I feel it has some type of issue from the surges or something ??? Any ideas ???

You might try putting in an older vintage line card as they were more resistant to excessive line current.

Or newer as well.
I had issue with CICS rebooting on its own.
Cards with part # ending in D, E or F where causing grief...G card did it for me as a fix.
