MICS 6.1 to 7.1xc

Ok I'm having one of those days. Going from 6.1 standard software to 7.1 XC is nothing more than:
1) Power down
2) change out the flash card (nvram is rls 2)
3) Power up check for errors, if no errors
4) Power down and add any additional hardware
5) Power up

All programming should remain during process correct?

just do a back up....if its going to be one of those days embrace it...OT is now a way of life...may as well figure it will go south and when it doesnt be happy instead of when it does being supprised

i know of no upgrade tool for a 6.1 to 7.0 or 7.1 upgrade..

thanks just wasn't sure if I should go to either 6.1XC then 7.1XC or to 7.1 standard then to 7.1XC.

6.1 to 7.1 standard then to 7.1XC is my thinking.
I know for sure you cannot go from XC to standard in any way....Im just no sure on going from Standard to XC with a higher release at the same time.

Understand but I can not see you having to purchase 2 sets of software to go to XC. I could be wrong though.

You should be good upgrading as you described in your original post. Software first, then hardware. Do a backup first as suggested.
