Recently I have come across a problem which I just can't resolve. When saving a document from Word (XP Version) to the floppy drive, microsoft word just stopps responding. I am using Windows 2000 with the latest patches. Any ideas would be appriciated.

It is NEVER good practise to save directly to a floppy from Word. Word has a complex file format and an even more complex save procedure, so it is best to save to the local HDD and then COPY the files to the floppy. If you save to a floppy and then pull out the floppy before you have closed Word, it will definitely hang as Word won't be able to delete the temp file it created when saving.
