Microsoft Word problem:

Everytime I need to use or download a Word document it doesn't open. I have no longer the Word icon on my desktop and in my Programs list on Start for some reason. The only way for me to open is opening one document and then use the program or save from the internet into my desktop and then opening that document.

Microsoft Power Point

The problem is the same for this one I have on my program file so what i need to fix is how to dowload without saving in my desktop.

Thanks,

go

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10

and you will find two exe files with names

'WINWORD.EXE'

'POWERPNT.EXE'

now right click on one at a time and and choose from the menu

'Create Shortcut'

then cut and paste these shortcuts on your desktop.

Rename them to whatever you want (ex. 'Word' and 'PPoint')

if you want them on your Start->Programs then drag and drop with right click, these shortcuts from your desktop into your list, when you release the mouse button you will see a small menu, choose 'Copy Here'.

Can you set the question, a little more clearly here, cause it doesn't make much of a sence!

Hi, I have to tell that you are a genius. My week was so bad and you made me happy!!! Regarding the second quote, I meant that everytime I had something in Word or PowerPoint to open from emails received I wasn't able without saving in the desktop and opening any document with the same program and then pulling the program from the desktop. But now that you taught me how to fix the "first quote" you solved two problems at once!
