Currently have Rls. 3.0 MICB, and customer was shipped (a few years ago) release 4 upgrade (2 cards, keycodes but no dongle). Question is, can I take the dongle from a MICA card and use it for the 2nd MICB card?
Back when the customer ordered the upgrade, someone?? don't know who forgot to add the dongle to the package. Now sales is telling customer that it will be an additional 13G's in order to get a new dongle (13G's basically is having 2 cards, keycodes and dongle sent) which the customer doesn't need.

MICA and MICB are 2 different products, and are used to verify your application keycode.

Are you sure you aren't supposed to use the dongle from the Rls 3.0 MICB card in the upgraded Rls 4.0 MICB?

When you purchase an upgrade, sometimes the existing dongle gets re-used. It sounds like you are trying to upgrade and expand, when you are only licensed for a single MICB.

Plan on using the current rls. 3 dongle for the first card, we're expanding ports to 2 cards, and have another card that will need a dongle. Guess it was forgot about when it was originally ordered?

I do realize that the dongle is Nortel's bread and butter so to speak, and I'm not out to cheat them in any way, but... as you all know, requesting and acquiring just a dongle can be a literal pain in the a..
Two new cards, keycodes, and 1 new pcmcia card were shipped with the rls 4.0 upgrade. Not sure if it was a miss on the sales end or what. Figured instead of the customer having to fork out for another full upgrade (apparently that's how nortel wants to do it) I'd see if the mica dongle (since its site specific) would work.
