MG Primary CC change

CS1k 7.6 system.
I have one Media Gateway that has two groups of trunk cards; 6- UDT card in total. We will be removing the oldest set of trunk cards in the near future. Because of that, the LD-73 programming needs to be reprogrammed from the Primary CC on Card-1 to the New CC on Card-7.
When I tried to change the MG’s primary clock reference I was met with a lot of SCH messages.
Could someone list the steps to remove the Primary reference from a Card-1 to a Card -7 within the same Media Gateway?

Disable the Clock Controller in LD 60 then out it in 73 then program the new one

You would disable the CC and do a change in the DDB in LD 73, not out. You will also need to move the clock controller daughterboard.

On PRI2 if I try to chg the Clock Controller you would get a SCH code

SCH5618
Must disable the existing clock controller and remove the clock data
before doing any clock controller changes.

Thats why i said out and re config see which works for you.
