I had the messenger service disabled on my entire network and just had to re-enable it for another reason. Evidently the CA Unicenter remote agent uses this service to communicate with distribution servers or staging servers.<br><br>Otherwise Nostradamus is right. It is safe to turn off and should be turned off unless you have a specific reason for it.
