We have now successfully installed the Messaging FAX 4.2 (i.e. the RightFax product 9.3 FP2 SP6) with ISDN2.

The TruFax-450 ISDN/BRI boards are to connected to the Aastra/Ericsson MD110 or MX-One by these commands:

<ITNUI:DIR=6000,EQU=1-1-40-0,TRAF=00151515,SERV=0000100001,CDIV=000000010,ROC=000001,ADC=000000010;
<EXECUTED
<
<ITDAP:DIR=6000;
ISDN EXTENSION DIRECTORY DATA
DIR EQU CUST SERV TRAF ADC CDIV ROC CAT ACCTYP
6000 001-1-40-00 - 0000100001 00151515 000000010 000000000 000001 - 0
END

The ISDN2/BRI lines in the PBX are to be programmed as ISDN terminals or ISDN extension number, also called S0 bus.
To program extensions like that use the commands described.

First of all use the ELU26 board, that has a capacity of 4 ISDN2 systems, i.e. 8 channels.
Aastra/Ericsson provides also the special cables to connect the Fax server til the PBX.

The FAX server works together with the Messaging (voice mail server) in version 4.2.

Let me know, if you have some experiences from the field with this/these product(s).

one major downside using So extensions:

you can't put them in a GH!
this has consequences for the incoming lines (no trunking).

IMHO, it's better to use TLU79, it works the same and you have the trunking.

Daddy!

I know this fact, also from other products, I have worked with like LG.
But the Fax server comes with the boards mentioned, and they seem only to able to work as So extension.
Or is there an other way - maybe by changing the cabling?

///doktor

In fact TLU79 and ELU26 are the same boards, the only difference is that the ELU26 provides power to the So Device. Cabling should be the same (but I could be wrong about that :) )

Yep. I think you're right.
But I need to check this.
Maybe pair #1 and pair#2 must be swapped in the RJ45 connector? Tx and Rx might have to be swapped, as we first of all tried the TLU79, but it was blocked.
Then we set-up the ELU26 and it worked allright.
We used the same cable in all tests.

Anyway cany you use the PELPI profiles with So extensions, in order to simulate a GH group?
I think a PELPI (if it works with So devices) would be ok.
So, having a PELPI pointing out the So extensions one by one, if the extension is busy go to the BSYCHO.
We will need to test this or use the TLU79 and a diffrent cable.

yes,
with PELPI you can simulate the GH functionality on S0. Star for that solution!

Hi there, I can't seem to get the routing informtation sent across to the rightfax :(

I'm using ELU26 as described in the solution above, but every fax that arrives comes with the routing code 1149 (which is the ISDN extension) and not the DDI number it cam in on.

For example, I have 7990 set up as generic (have tried analog as well) with a profile pointing to 1149. The fax arrives and answers, but the routing code is kept as 1149 and so it goes into a general mailbox rather than my specific one :S

Any ideas?

did you try with empty GH (7990) with CDINI to 1149?

divert(CDINI) and deflect (PELPI) are different call cases.

Even using the GH it's doing the same...

slash50,

I knew there was a reason why I always recommend using TLU79, your problem is one of them...

Oh.... whoops....

Can I change the proms or firmware on the 26? You said it's essentially the same card.

Thanks

Slash50!
What s/w are you using for the RightFax and The Messaging servers?.
We are using RF 9.3-FP2-SP6 and Messaging 4.2.
It seems that we have similiar problems...

///doktor

I don't think you can run it with a TLU79 prom (ELU26 comes with extra power devices on the PCB)

We have now solved this issue. It works as it should. The integration between the Messaging server and the RightFax were "adjusted". This solved our problems.
So using ELU26 for the TruFax 450 board works OK.

///doktor

Does anyone have integration notes for TSW and rightfax with Trufax board, I cannot get mine working :(

What type of Trufax board?

///doktor

I am only using the TruFax 450 BRI...
You should just pick it (i.e. Trufax 200 from the list when installing the Doc Transport module.
Program your ISDN2 extensions by means of the ITNUI commands.

///doktor

Ah sorry Doktor, I am using TLU79. We had it working with ELU26 before, but needed to change it so we could use TLU79 for different fax mailboxes.

You can make changes to the BRI settings like point-to-point or point-to-multipoint in the advanced settings of the TruFax boards (BoardServer module).
These setting must be adjusted after going from ELU26 to TLU79.
