Hello,
I really do not know what I am doing. I got told to fix so that we use Exchange 2000 on our win 2000 server. First I set up the outlook clients so that they use internet email as well as exchange. Noone really used exchange and I did nothing except set up the accounts, so all the communication still went through the internet email provider. But last week our provider had a breakdown and somehow our server decided to take over! I realised this and fixed most of the problems (except a huge queue in teh SMTP tree). But I realise the bad situation and I now want to use only exchange and no internet email.
So i set up my account with a pop3 and a smtp server. Sending and recieving mail from my account works fine but the queue still remains!! I though that if I just set up a SMTP the queue would disappear.
So do you know what I am doing wrong.
My SMTP is set up with our servers IP. That is basically the only thing I did.
Telnet on port 25 works fine. SMTP is running.
thankful for any suggestions.
