Hello,

I recieve this message in Word 2000 when after clicking on print from 'Envelopes and Labels'

The margins of section 1 are set outside the printable area of the page. Do you want to continue? yes or no.

It's difficult to explain this. It means that what you are printing is larger than will fit on the envelope. Maybe the margins are too wide or long. Check your page setup under the file menu. If you do a print preview, does it look the way you want it? If so, ignore the message and print. If not, you may have to reduce the margins, etc.

carrr: when I click yes, it prints. However, my user prints a lot of envelopes and she would rather not recieve the message.

jamor1999 - I figured that, so I went into the envelope options and I set the envelope size to '10' and the margins to 'auto' I didn't see a print preview like would in a regular document, but I will check. However, I still recieved the same message.

Do you guys/gals think a 'Detect and Repair' could help?

I would uninstall and reinstall your printer drivers first.

Can't do that carrr, I have twenty users on that printer and they don't recieve the error message. Any other ideas?

Perhaps, and perhaps only sympathy. We had similar problems after upgrading to 2000. Downloading a driver from HPs website, rather than using the default Windows driver, helped us.

So don't sweat the machines that aren't experiencing the error....

Try changing your margins to zero instead of auto. Also, trying click Fix on that error window and that should change the margins to the minimum for you.

Thanks for the responses, it is appreciated
Carr - the workstations pull down the driver from our server, it's not the printer driver.
jamor1999- I will give that a try.
JoyInOk - already using HP's drivers.
