Message waiting Lamp

Hello

I have user which message waiting lamp is not working
he has a 3905 phone and I2050 (softphone) tn built for him, he just notified me of this change, he has not loaded
the software yet.
Both tn's have MWA,

What can I do to get hs M3905 to light up, he
has tried other phones...same issue.

does the set show a mwk lamp? is chg it to key x mwk xxxx so it will auto dial the mail back and make sure the dn is marped on the set. other then that mwa in class is all you need. chances are the dn is still marped on the 3905

Does the 3905 have a mail box on system?
Is the I2050 on the same system?
Do both phones have the same DN?

the h is because it's an ip phone if i remember right. if it's marped on the set and your not getting a lamp, it could be in your ip setup or your network.

1. mwa in class
2. mwk key on the set
3. marped on the right phone
4. marp is turned on in your switch

that's it on the tdm side, do you have ip sets with lamps working?

If the DN is on Key 3 and appears on other sets the lite will not work. Put a XMWK Key on the set you want it to lite on or move to Key 0.

i guess that would be step 5, and your right. i'm so used to having the prime number as key 0 i overlook the obvious

It's always Best to print the TNB so we can see how it's programmed. that way we don't have to guess or make assumptions and keep asking you questions.

I just changed the dn for now
the phone now has light.
