Hello,
Got a customer that moved into a new office and we installed a CICS with 4.1 software. Call Pilot with 2.0 software. The CICS they previously used had 4.2 software with a Flash mail, not sure of the software version. They now don't get the message waiting light comming on when a message is left in their mailbox. Just the notification in the display. Is 4.2 the minimum release that you have to have to get the light to come on?
Dmac,

think so.........

ONLY 21 WEEKS TILL SKI SEASON STARTS

Sprucegrover,
Thanks for the response. If that is the word from Nortel, then there must be a setting in the CP setup that I missed for Lamp notification. Would you know where that might be? I set it up using my laptop.
Thanks,
Dmac,

I have read that MWL only works from 6.0 on. Maybe I'm wrong and it was 5.0, but i know it doesn't work on 4.1.

I editted the full release note for relevant info. I should have included earlier that only 6.15 supports MWI, not earlier 4.1 issues.
There are no programming steps for MWI. With T-sets and the correct software, the message indicator from the mail lights the lamp and 'msg' in the display.

sprucegrover,
Thanks for the info. It really helps. Clears up alot of confusion. You should put this info in the FAQ section of the site.
Thanks,
Dmac,

You may be right. If other techs could use it, it would be worth the time to do it.

Cheers
