Message Limit Question

Here is my scenario. I have Exchange 2000 and I want to be able to have my users receive unmlimited size emails from outside but only be able to SEND 6 MB internally or externally. Now I have, in ESM, a 6 MB SEND limit in the global settings and unlimited receive. The 6 MB send works great, but users still cannot RECEIVE anything from outside over 6 MB either even though in Global the receive is set to unlimited. I have checked the other places, connectors, SMTP Virtual server and also user settings, all nothing. Any thoughts on how to receive unlimited and send a limited amount???

Clear all the restrictions in ESM, and do it in ADUC, user account properties, exchange general tab, delivery restrictions button, outgoing message limit feild

That sounds like a plan, the only things is I have 130 user accounts. I would have to go to each one individually? Is there any way to do it a little easier?

I think it is a manual job on 2000, although I am open to corrction on this point,

I did a similar excercise on around 100 users, it wasn't too traumatic, albeit rather boring.

Make sure your firewall or spamfilter doesn't also have the 6MB limit set.

Doing it manually DOES sound tedious! So each new user I create I will have to set this for each of them as well? Does 2003 have a simpler way?

I believe in Windows Server 2003 you can select multiple users in ADUC and modify the same attribute(s) simultaneously on all those that you selected
