We upgraded to a new Callpilot 1005r and the message indication quit working across to the carrier remote.
Any ideas? we put a mwi and mwc keys on a local set and still could not light the lamps.
that's a strange one.. zero setting soft or hard that allows that.. did this work prior to the carrier remote? i could see that if it was a remote switch via tie's.. that i have seen. one of a couple of things.. a patch that i haven't heard of and nortel does not have on it's site as of today.. or a bad carrier interface card on one end or the other... i have 2 carrier remote and several mini carrier remotes here.. some of which i've installed, and never on the install do you need to address voice mail type or even allow or deny... in the cp are you getting errors. and are you getting npr codes during lamp audit? are you sure lamp audit is on?
Can you turn on the lights with MIK?
Should be no reason for local lights to work and not remote even with a new mail system. Signalling still comes from the main switch. It's just a matter of the switch turning on light for a DN and it doesn't care where that DN is.
I had a remote sight with a similar problem. The mail config was correct and i was able to get the light turned on after i pressed MIK several times although the LCD indication did not go out after i pressed the key like it normally does. I beleive it had something to do with our RLS ID not matching on both ends.
Johnpool,
Thanks, I will envoke the pbxt command(I think this is what your refering to other than midn.ld 32). Yes, the mwi worked prior to the upgrade.
