To all the people that I have met over the last couple years on the NetWare forums...

Merry Christmas. I hope that you have a great holiday season and a very prosperous 2005.

Thanks Marvin, you do the same. You've been helpful to me over the last year and I appreciate it.

I have another question thought. We have a Netware 6.5 server running on a G2 DL580 with almost 4 GIG of Ram. This is our main Groupwise server, since we have converted it over to this server, for some unknown reason the server keeps rebooting itself or hanging up just about everynight at the same time around 12:40 a.m. Any ideas???? or settings that I can check???

Thanks
Denise

Are your backups running at the same time? What software do you run? This is a Proliant DL580 G2? can you run CPQIML and see if anything is logged in the IML log? I suspect an ASR is rebooting it. If so, I would disable the ASR and let Netware handle any hang, if there really is one.

Apart from the cleaner ;) it could be file compression? As well as Marvin's tip, check your SYS:SYSTEM\ABEND.LOG and see if anything is reported in there?

Thanks, Marvin. I hope you had a great Christmas and that you will have a healthy and prosperous New Year. I appreciate all the help you've given me, most of it you don't even know about because I read others' posts. Thanks to you, I've been able to keep Netware here instead of having to put in Win$ux and Unix.
I look forward to reading more of your help in '05.
