Opt 81c Succession 3. I believe its a 16 port Mermail setup. Terminology may be off there... We currently have around 800 configured mailboxes and plan on doing a couple join ventures with new companies and going to be adding a couple hundred more users. Can those 16 ports handle around 1000+ user mailboxes? We do have plans to upgrade to Call Pilot very soon but in the mean time I need to know of Mermail and Call Pilot will handle that many users without additional hardware.

Thanks

that is very dependant on the number of calls to mail per hour and the number of app, menus and announcement services etc.. i would at least stat the channels a few times per hour for a week or so. getting an inhouse reading is way more then the actual formuala's and tech history from other sites.. i've installed new switches with 1000 boxes and only 8 ports on mermail. that seems light but mail was pretty much an after hours box with no menus except the night menu and those pointed to express mails..

Thanks

I have an ISI Infortel logging machine so I can run a report then and get exact details. I know we do about 15,000 calls in/out per day total. Just never looked specifically at the vmail channels. I'll check that out tomorrow. :)

We have about 1300 boxes with a 24 port system and we do not see any issues from a capacity standpoint.

Hope this helps,
