I fixed a problem by reseatind the card. Is that possible?

Perhaps. Perhaps what really happened is that you had a power outage and the system restarted incorrectly. In that case is was the power cycle the repaired the issue.

If the phone loses connectivity, it will put the call on hold as well so if the card wasn't in there completely it could have been putting the call on hold when it lost connectivity.
