Merlin Magix: call will not redirect to voicmail

I am running Merlin Magix Messaging v 1.1

I have a physical phone with an assigned DID number with extension
number 412.
Incoming and Outgoing calls can be made on it.

I have also created a voicemail box with the same extension number.
However, incoming calls, which go unanswered, will not forward over
to the voicemail box. The physcal phone just rings and rings.

I know very little about this system. Could someone help direct me
on what needs to be done to make the connection between the two
worlds.

You have to Put extention 412 in to group coverage.

Go into System Progamming -> extentions -> more -> Group cover (enter group 30) then hit inspect. Check to make sure that is group set up to send to voice mail (you should see all the other extention that have VM coverage in the group). If it is not exit out and inspect group 1. Those are the 2 most popular groups to set for the senders. After you figure out which group you have to use add ext. 412 to it.

I am not in front of a system right but phones are considered senders under group coverage they might be listed as senders i'm not sure off the top of my head but this is a start. you should be able to figure it out

Thanks for info.

I added ext 412 to cover group 30.
Incoming calls were then able to be forwarded to the 412 mailox. However, the caller would get the personal greeting and then 2 seconds later the autoattendant would say "Good Bye" and the connection would end.

I ended up deleting the voice mailbox, rebuild it and then added it again to the Cover Group 30. Then it worked!
