Merlin Magic voice messaging

Have a Merlin magic with voice messaging card. new install
ext's start a 10 thru 30 .Customer wants auto attendant to
say for sales press 1 for customer service press 2 ect...
need to know if extensions need to be changed to 500 ,501
502 ect... or can i keep extensions 10 thru 30

voice mail Dn = 42 43 2 port
help I am a Nortel guy
 
First, there's a Merlin forum here:
You can't have "Press 1 for customer service", and also have extension numbers that start with 1 (10, 11, 12, etc.)

Same for 2 (20, 21, 22, etc) and so on.

On a Legend, I prefer to set the default number plan to "Set Up Space", which puts the extensions in the 7100 range. Then you individually renumber them to the final desired extension numbers. 3-digits works well, say 100 through 199, then use selector codes 2 through 9. Or, as you have indicated, runumber the extensions in the 500 range, you can have selector codes 1 through 4 available.
