I'm having a problem with calls transfering from the auto attendant at the main site to the remote site. The calls do not ring at the extension, but they cover to voicemail.
Calling extension to extension between sites works and the call does cover to voicemail if not asnwered. The remote site is using the main site for dial tone to the outside.
I have noticed that it takes around 18 seconds for an outsoide call to complete from the remote site. I have checked all the programming for both systems and I'm not sure what could be wrong. Any idea's or help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Thanks for responding but the problem turned out to be that the 6 ports on the Merlin Mail were not set for rotary enable. Which I understand that for the older mail systems it was not necessary to turn on rotary enable.

It's strange that you would notice the off site issue first.

Because, the Voice Mail Ports would not have been lighting message lamps.

The ports on an old stand-alone Merlin Mail do not need to be rotary enabled. That only has to be done for Merlin Messaging.
