I have a customer that changed something in prompt maint. She somehow recorded a message that plays before the other users greetings on incoming calls to all the mailboxes on their system. Any ideas????

This is not done in Prompt Maintenance.
It is a mailbox that has "Administrative Capablities" allowed. The user recorded a System Greeting from that mailbox.
They will need to log in to the mailbox and delete the system greeting (press 8-2-3 I think).

To avoid this problem it's best that mailboxes with admin capabilities be used strictly for sending broadcast messages when necessary. They shouldn't be used as regular call-answering mailboxes.

Thanks a lot. I will contact the cust and get it fixed.

Steamer, when I started my current job, I noticed an odd "pause" in the mail system. People told me "it's been that way since install...that's normal isn't it?"

I went into Admin System Greeting and to my surprise, it was the previous telecom whiz breathing while being mystified that they had such powers.
