We have Meridian 1 Opt 11. I have five lines into the system. However if only two seem to work. So if five people call in, two lines will ring and three go busy. Not sure where to go into the system porgram to check the config. All of my lines are DID lines. Thanks!

go to LD 21 and do an LTM, that will give you the route and the TNs of the five lines, than determine if the TN's are good, stat the TNs to see what state they're in, if the show idle try moving them to a different TN.

you can test the DID trunks with a butt set. If you clip onto tip and ring and come off hook you will hear the click in your ear then enter the 4 digit extension number. if this works your provider has the trouble if not look at the universal trunk card.

Went to LD 21 and look at the tn #. Here is what I have. I did a status on all four TN's and they show Idle. I need to add another line so that I have a total of 5 lines. I still get a busy signal after 2 people call in. I am not sure what the (COT) means. Here is also a config on the working an non working TN's. Let me know how I can change the other TN's to look the same. What steps to make this happen.

TN 2 0 0 0 mber 0 COT
TN 2 0 0 1 mber 1 COT
TN 2 0 0 2 mber 2
TN 2 0 0 3 mber 3

don't see anything that stops 2 2 from working, but are you sure these are did, atdn 6500 suggests that they are auto to the att.. you will get a busy if the provider has the 1st two marked inbound and the rest outbound. since they are loop start, pull the jumper off of 2 2, connect a butt set (or any analog set) and call the main number, it will either ring or (if it's did) give you 4 digits.. cot means central office trunk , not a show stopper..

1st.. make sure they are did, loop start did is rare
2nd.. make sure you have 5 trunks comming into your switch from the office (provider)
3rd.. find out it the trouble is in your switch or not.

post the route, ld 21 prt rdb 0.. go to ld 14 and do a chg on cot 2 2, return down to ncos and make them all ncos 2.. just so they match

My recp. is 6500, I have all call directed to the my recp. This is what I have when I do the print of the route. I have to call the (provider)to make sure they are (Loop Start. I will have to test the numbers tomorrow with a butt set. Tell me if anything in this route looks wrong.

it looks right for a route. two way auto term, not did, loop start.. might be a problem if it hangs up, (no rls) fedc set to calling party.. but that route is not causing the problem you are descriding,, (sounds hardware, so far) or at least a combination

Chg SUPN, on the TNs, from yes to no on the ones that don't work. I would suggest changing them from lop to grd start, for better supervision. With them as loop start there is no disconnect. A call forwarded to voicemail never knows when the call is over and will stay connected until the call times out.

Forgot 1 other change to the RDB. NEDC and FEDC should both be ETH. NEDC, near end disconnect, FEDC, Far End disconnect, ETH, is either originating or terminating.
