I have a Meridian 1, Opt 81C, and Release 25.47. The Meridian supplies regular analog dial lines to the Norstar System. The Norstar System has an Auto Attendant which answers the calls. The dial lines going to the Norstar sometimes won’t release and the Meridian puts them into Lockout. I can unplug the lines from the Norstar, then plug them back in to reset the lines back to normal, but later on the lines will go back into Lockout. We think that the problem occurs when a Norstar Phone transfers a call.
The Norstar Disconnect timer is set for 100. All the lines from the Meridian have LDTA (Line Disconnect Tone Allowed). They do not have features ISP or OSP.
Anybody have any insight into this problem???.

your going to run into lines hanging up.. period. your using analog dt and they don't have enough flex in there timers to act as trunks.. i've done it, but as a last resort// best bet is line side t1s.. if that is not an option then look as adding analog trunk cards to the 81 and program them as tie or did's..

you can play with the flash timer on the ksu but as it gets closer to disconnect, you see the catch 22..

yes they work but just barely..

Thanks for the inputs. I will try the FTR ISP 75. Also I don't know what Line side T1's are? I'll try to find some info on them, and if feasible I will definitely try them. What equipment & programming is needed for Line side T1's??? This is a great help because we are getting a lot of Norstars fed by analog lines.
