I have two (2) more problems with this "challenging piece of hardware".

1. Is there a specific procedure for connecting PC interfaces? I've gotten only one of three to power up. No LEDs lit, nada. I've swapped the "dead" ones onto the connection for the working unit and there's no change. Any ideas?

2. The "working" unit does not display caller id info.
It'll show happily show the number being dialed, but incoming calls do not show on the display. I've tried installing the software on another PC and its just the same.

Awaiting your collective wisdom...

It wires just like the 2250 console. Serial cable to the PC nothing special to do here. Do you have IDP in the OPT of the CDB.

Artificial Intelligence Is No Match for Natural Stupidity.

The latest survey shows that 3 out of 4 people make up 75% of the population.

The original point and click interface was a Smith & Wesson.

Red meat is not bad for you, it is the green fuzzy meat that is bad.

tnphoneman: That was indeed the missing link! The incoming caller's info is now being displayed. Phew!

Now to find a defib machine for the PC consoles...

Anyone have any ideas why they won't power up? It seems somewhat unlikely that they'd both be defective as they appear to be "factory fresh".

The wiring is in order as there is a working unit currently on the very same jack I used to test 'em both.
