I've found the IPOfficehelp site very useful, and recently went poking about there when a customer asked for something (ability to change mobile twinning number remotely) I didn't know how to implement.

I went to this link:

All of it seems to work fine, except it won't actually change the mobile twinning number. I'm wondering if there's some setting that I'm missing somewhere? The twinning button on the phone(s) go on and off when activated.

Running IP500V2 7.0.23, VM Pro 7.0.23, module is attached to a default start point for certain users (collect). Accessed for testing by dial *17 on that user's phone.

Any help gratefully accepted.

Add actions to "set" a users mobile twinning action from a generic action.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

the module as downloaded includes a menu to enter a new MT number (with a $), and that is followed by a generic action (free format command) with the following string:

CFG:Set $CP0 mobile_twinning_number$KEY

The $CP0 part is the extension, which would have entered further gack in the module. That part works because enabling/disabling MT toggles the twinning button on the correct extension.

Unless there's something wrong with the format of the command above (it's a copy/paste from the module)?

Do you type in the number and end with a pound (#) sign?
You could try converting the generic action from the free format to the normal format.
Perhaps that work better.

Yes... you enter a 9 plus MT number plus #... the generic action speaks the number back to you, which it does correctly.

I'm not in the lab at this moment but I was wondering if there needed to be a space between the "..._number$KEY" so it looked like _number $KEY".

I didn't notice the lack of a space until I posted the command in here. don't know if it's important.

Success! Adding the space fixes the problem.

thanks for the help.
