Menu button MACRO syntax in 2000i

From a previous post, I received a reply from "DSI" which was very informative. However, I don't think that I explained myself sufficiently. I am upgrading from release 14 to 2000i and then to 2002. I have many custom menu buttons with macros which do not seem to work in 2000i.

Here is a string from one of my buttons. ^C^Clayer set e-powr^C^Cinsert plug near \;; This string sets a desired layer as current (e-powr) and then inserts the block (plug) at a user defined "Near" location. I am trying to get this type of macro to work in 2000i.
 
You may want to try the Eng-Tips forum. This is more engineering related, so there is more activity in the AutoCAD forum.
