Does anyone know if their is a tool available that can identify what type of memory is in your PC without taking the case off.

Try checking the bios settings. or maybe during the post you can get a quick glimpse, hit the pause button as it displays.

But i mean its not hard to take the case off and check it. you may not even have to take the memory out. there should be a little white sticker on the memory module itself.

But if you dont want to do that, check you Mobo documentation to see what type of memory your it can handle, so at least you could eliminate some types of memory from the equation.
