We have a 4 processor SQL server with 1.5 GB of ram running on win 2000 that hosts a Geographical Information System database. When the memory load gets quite high, say 840 megs of memory due to usage, it never drops. If the users have gone, the memory being used stays quite high. The only way to drop it down again is to do a restart. Is there a way to do a memory flush on a scheduled basis?
