We just replaced a bank of DIMMs on one of our V880s. Management wants me to run a command that is very memory intensive to verify that it can handle a heavy load before moving the V880 back into production. I thought about SunVTS but it only tests the RAM. Does anyone know of a Solaris command or script that will do something like this?

terry;

I found this but it is still VTS just using command line vmemtest

This test uses the Solaris valloc (page aligned) system call to allocate, write, read, and compare virtual memory. These operations normally cause heavy paging activity on the system and simulate a stressful environment for the operating system. This test also detects ECC parity errors, memory read errors, and addressing problems, and displays the corresponding virtual memory addresses on failure.

I do not have any scripts unfortunately but someone may.
