I've seen this after installing a new device driver, but I'm not sure what causes it. As soon as Windows starts press F8. Choose step by step confirmation. See what happens. If you get a problem when a driver is loaded you know there's a problem with that driver. If it's a Windows driver you'll probably have to reinstall, if it's not try reinstalling the driver that is used by the device. Don Swayser

It's been a while but I think the "Kak worm" (virus) will cause this. Most of the time you will see a "KAK" something in your "windows>start>programs>startmenu". If you see it there or in your autoexec.bat you have the virus. It is usually harmless just annoying. Every day above ground is a GOOD DAY!!!
Is wierd
First I run scandisk form DOS and it had no problems, then
I run the kakcleaner but didn't find the virus. After that I was going to unistall the video drivers so I rebooted and the message was gone.
