MEMORY CHECK

I have a win 98 box and when I restart the memory check will run 7 or eight times befor the bios accepts it and then it will boot on several restart attempts the computer has booted to a jumbled screen after trying 2 or three time the computer will finally boot I usually shutdown at night and turn on in the morning this has just started happening the last week any suggestion

Check the HD and memory for errors.
