When trying to save one of my forms I know get the following error

memo file C:\cmwin\scrn\clients.sct is missing or is invalid

Foxpro then crashes. However the changes appear to be saved. Any ideas why this might happen. If it is invalid can I recreate the .sct file?

Thanks

I sounds like you have a damaged .sct file (or missing). Is the .sct file there? If so, I would suggest you modify your form and copy all the controls and methods to a new form. Or try to report the .sct file by using it as a table :
use C:\cmwin\scrn\clients.sct
Browse

and take a loook at any fields (including memo fields) that may contain corrupted data.

Thanks for your advice. I can't find any corruption. I've got two backups of the form and each one does the same. Looks like I've got to create a new form a take the code out of the old form.

Thanks for your help anyway

Hi
Just try recompiling all (i.e. with option rebuild all components selected) while recompiling the project. Or build the form again. That could fix the problem.

:)

Thanks, I'll give that a go tomorrow.

When I open this file on our server (mapped as H:\) I can edit it and save it without any problems. Therefore I've copied the full directory back to my c:\ drive. I get the same error message. I have a e drive so I tried copying all the data to e: . I get the same error except c: is replaced by e:. I can't understand why I don't get the error while it is on our server. Any ideas. Problem is I do all the code changes etc ... local, on c:.

I'm trying to resolve this with out redoiing the client form, lots of programs, buttons shapes and everthing else on there.

Thanks
