Meeting availability across sites

I am ensuring that our users can see the availability of attendees before sending out meeting requests.

1. The MS Schedule+ Free/busy service is running on the server.
2. Set up (in System Folders) to replicate to all sites.

I'm not sure if all sites have to replicate to all others, or will they replicate in a daisy-chain fashion?

Finally, is it a lot of traffic? We have 8 sites with 120 users max per site.
