With the 2 PRIs and lots of unused trunks, I was hoping I could allow Nortel meet-me-conferencing. Users typically email participants the call-in number (Conference Bridge DID) along with the access code (chairperson DN) and their participant passcode.
By default, Nortel does not require participants to enter a participant passcode to join the conference. The chairperson can set a participant passcode for each individual conference.
The problem is the participant passcode is good for that particular conference call only. If the Chairperson, disconnects the conference, that passcode will be deleted and the system will not prompt participants for the passcode next time they join the conference. This is a bit frustrating because the chairperson cannot set a passcode in advance and email it to the participants. The only work around is to ask the chairperson to enter the conference ahead of time just to set the passcode for that particular conference, otherwise anyone can login to the conference without entering a passcode!
Is there a solution to this so that the system would not wipe out the participant passcode set in the previous conference?
