medpro fw upgrade ( signed software) 1

tried upgrading some med resource Tn 2602BP's
was trying to put fw21 on with no luck..
then tried fw12 same again no luck.
resorted to putting on fw12(unsigned).

have any you guys had this problem uploading signed firmware to these boards?

i also upgraded the clan;s etc etc with signed fw and had no problems ...just the med resource boards!!

What steps are you using to upload and enable the firmware? With the 2602AP (Crossfire) Medpro's you have to upload the file to each of the Medpro's file systems basically meaning you have to update them one by one.

what release is the switch? cm3 has a new thing where you've got to tell it secure? on the filesystem screen. certain boards need it, certain ones don't. has something to do with the -sig, i think.

It is my understanding that the new Tn26xx Crossfire boards only use the signed firmware. I think its an encryption related thing.

You can't distribute the firmware from a C-LAN board to the new MedPro boards (TN2602). The TN2602 has to be both the source and the target, similar to upgrading the firmware on a C-LAN board.

oooops i was wrong it was sucessful when i downloaded FW12 unsigned.
back to sq 1 again

i am using the crossfire board as the source and target in filesystem screen i have it set to secure.

i am doing it by the manual i have upgraded all ipsi's/clan's/ds1' etc etc just cant get these TN 2602's to upgrade!!!

I have never used the secure method on the enable filexfer form and have not had a problem.
