Good Morning,

All tapes are being labelled 'Saturday' and not the correct day. How is this problem corrected? Running daily backups within Arcserve v7.

Under the Backup Schedule tab is Custom or Rotation selected?

I've changed it from Custom to Rotation now, so I will see how it goes.

That should do it, Rotation job will automatically name the tapes for each day.

I placed them on a rotation system and it failed because it requested the media to have a 'blank' name, when the tapes are already labelled 'Saturday'.

and they always will be, that is the way a Custom backup works. If you want the tapes to have a different name for each day then either setup a job for each day with the tape name you want or use Rotation instead of Custom.
