i just got bowling for columbine using a bit torrent program, when im watching it, the voices dont line up with the picture, its very annoying, did i waste my time or can it be fixed, and if i burn it...back it up...to a dvd in dvd format will it fix my problem?
First off probably not a good idea to advertise the fact that you are downloading copyrighted films illegaly on this forum.
However there are two possibilities:
1) The avi file was encoded with the incorrect settings and you will be unable to correct the problem easily. You would have to use some software to strip the Soundtrack and then re-encode the film, this time entering a time delay on the sound. This is reasonably easily done however you will have to do a search on google for this.
2) You do not have the correct Codecs installed on your system. Codec are what are used to uncompress the video and audio streams are display the streams on your system. Do a google search for klcodec225f.exe this is a bundle of codecs that should work for 99% of movies.

Unfortunatly that is not the case, at the moment the RIAA are issuing Court procedings against hundreds of individuals who have been DOWNLOADING music. That being said so far no official body has take any steps to prosecute people downloading movies.
