MEASUREMENTS IN QUARK 5

I have install Quark Xpress 5 onto my Macintosh computer but don't know how to set measurements to be all the time in millimiters. When open document I go to edit>preferences>measurements. That's right, but when open next document I need to do some steps and so on.
How I can setup measurements to millimitres to stay there instead of inshes every time I open new document?

Change the measurements (and any other prefs) when you open QXP. WITH NO DOCUMENT OPEN. This applies the prefs changes to the application rather than the document.
