PC with ME installed with two network cards. One card connected to cable modem. The other to hub. Browsing and email works great. When I install internet connection sharing, I lose the capability to browse or get email anymore. Uninstal ICS and it works fine again. Any ideas?

how do you fix this? If in doubt get the Ball Pein Hammer out

I have cable modem also and more than likely your cable company only allows you to have one IP address that you could use, thus sharing your internet connection won't work for you are restricted with one connection to the outside world. call your cable company and get them to allocate another IP address for you (around $10/mo)....

Get a NetGear router...
This will do the trick and
lots lots more.

ICS will not work with a cable modem( security) however the router will work.

With cable companies that register the mac address of your nic you use a router and choose "Clone Mac Address", then all machines can connect via your router which then looks after the addressing to your network.

I have successfully implemented this solution on dozens of systems.

You saying that when you install ICS you "lose the capability to browse or get email anymore". Do you loose the capability to browse or get email from the host machine or the client? Also "to browse", you mean internet or network shares?
