Mdac version??/

I installed server 2003 r2 i went to control panel to check and verify which version of mdac is on the computer but i cant find it. Help

The simplest way to do this is via a reg query script I wrote recently as follows;

reg query \\%1\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DataAccess >> mdactest.txt

Save this as a .cmd or .bat file and then execute it as follows;

batch SERVER (where server is your server)

The resulting MDACTEST.TXT should yield the following;

! REG.EXE VERSION 3.0

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DataAccess
FullInstallVer REG_SZ 2.81.1117.0
Version REG_SZ 2.81.1117.0
Full21Install REG_DWORD 0xffffffff

REG_SZ indicates that this is running MDAC 2.81xx (2.8 SP1)
